Work Bee Saturday May 11, 2024 - Meet at the Visitor Information Centre 9AM

Date: May 11th, Saturday
Location: Greg Duke Lakes Recreation Area
Meeting Time; 9:00 am - Tumbler Ridge Visitor Information Center
Scope of work: trail clearing of dead fall; brushing of overgrown trail areas; sign repair; outhouse platform replacement
Required; 2 certified chainsaw operators and 1 brush saw operator; 5 support personnel to clear cut deadfall sections, hand saw small obstructions, carry tools, fuel & supplies & rake trail; 2 additional personnel to document (photograph) work done & prepare lunch for the crew.
Note: There will be qualified First Aiders and First Aid Kits on-site
Please be advised, due to insurance requirements, all volunteers are requested to have paid their 2023 membership fee prior to joining the work bee. Volunteer sign-up can be done on-site as well on May 11th.
Remember to bring water, work gloves, hat, sun protection and bug spray for yourself. All tools and safety gear are supplied by WNMS. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
